Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University was established by Divyangjan Sashaktikaran Vibhag Uttar Pradesh, Government of Uttar Pradesh came up with an Ordinance dated August 29, 2008, later replaced by U.P. Act No. 1 of 2009, dated February 19, 2009, and U.P. Act No. 24 of 2011, dated November 28, 2011.
The Institute of Engineering & Technology was established in 2016, as one of the faculties of the Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow. The vision of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) is to be globally renowned for imparting quality engineering education in pioneering interdisciplinary technology.
The mission of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) is to produce morally aware, dynamic, competent engineering professionals and leaders who shall steer the nation to a better future. The Institute offers M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence & Data Science B.Tech. program in five branches of Engineering i.e. Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The Institute of Engineering & Technology is All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved.
The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) had made a substantial contribution to academia and provides experience through internships in core companies of respective branches, along with expert talks, live projects, workshops, and upscale labs.
The Institute of Engineering & Technology is located on the campus of the University on Mohaan Road Lucknow. The Eco-friendly practices and teaching-learning are planned to be combined together to promote sustainable development. Furthermore, initiatives have also been taken towards energy conservation and tapping of solar energy on the campus.

Our mandate is primarily to serve the differently-abled segment (challenged students) of the society for which a horizontal reservation of 50% seats in all courses of the University has been provided, in addition to the normal reservation policy.
